Every mention

  • 2:85 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ (of) the worldThen, you are those [same ones who are] killing one another and evicting a party of your people from their homes, cooperating against them in sin and aggression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishment. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
  • 2:86 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldThose are the ones who have bought the life of this world [in exchange] for the Hereafter, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be aided.
  • 2:114 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا the worldAnd who are more unjust than those who prevent the name of Allah from being mentioned in His mosques and strive toward their destruction. It is not for them to enter them except in fear. For them in this world is disgrace, and they will have in the Hereafter a great punishment.
  • 2:130 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ the worldAnd who would be averse to the religion of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself. And We had chosen him in this world, and indeed he, in the Hereafter, will be among the righteous.
  • 2:200 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا the worldAnd when you have completed your rites, remember Allah like your [previous] remembrance of your fathers or with [much] greater remembrance. And among the people is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world," and he will have in the Hereafter no share.
  • 2:201 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا the worldBut among them is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
  • 2:204 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldAnd of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents.
  • 2:212 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldBeautified for those who disbelieve is the life of this world, and they ridicule those who believe. But those who fear Allah are above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.
  • 2:217 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا the worldThey ask you about the sacred month - about fighting therein. Say, "Fighting therein is great [sin], but averting [people] from the way of Allah and disbelief in Him and [preventing access to] al-Masjid al-Haram and the expulsion of its people therefrom are greater [evil] in the sight of Allah. And fitnah is greater than killing." And they will continue to fight you until they turn you back from your religion if they are able. And whoever of you reverts from his religion [to disbelief] and dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.
  • 2:220 · Al-Baqarahٱلدُّنْيَا the worldTo this world and the Hereafter. And they ask you about orphans. Say, "Improvement for them is best. And if you mix your affairs with theirs - they are your brothers. And Allah knows the corrupter from the amender. And if Allah had willed, He could have put you in difficulty. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
  • 3:14 · Ali 'Imranٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ (of) the worldBeautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.
  • 3:22 · Ali 'Imranٱلدُّنْيَا the worldThey are the ones whose deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and for them there will be no helpers.
  • 3:45 · Ali 'Imranٱلدُّنْيَا the world[And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah].
  • 3:56 · Ali 'Imranٱلدُّنْيَا the worldAnd as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers."
  • 3:117 · Ali 'Imranٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldThe example of what they spend in this worldly life is like that of a wind containing frost which strikes the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it. And Allah has not wronged them, but they wrong themselves.
  • 3:145 · Ali 'Imranٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world And it is not [possible] for one to die except by permission of Allah at a decree determined. And whoever desires the reward of this world - We will give him thereof; and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter - We will give him thereof. And we will reward the grateful.
  • 3:148 · Ali 'Imranٱلدُّنْيَا (in) the worldSo Allah gave them the reward of this world and the good reward of the Hereafter. And Allah loves the doers of good.
  • 3:152 · Ali 'Imranٱلدُّنْيَا the worldAnd Allah had certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing the enemy by His permission until [the time] when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love. Among you are some who desire this world, and among you are some who desire the Hereafter. Then he turned you back from them [defeated] that He might test you. And He has already forgiven you, and Allah is the possessor of bounty for the believers.
  • 3:185 · Ali 'Imranٱلدُّنْيَآ (of) the worldEvery soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.
  • 4:74 · An-Nisaٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldSo let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory - We will bestow upon him a great reward.
  • 4:77 · An-Nisaٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldHave you not seen those who were told, "Restrain your hands [from fighting] and establish prayer and give zakah"? But then when fighting was ordained for them, at once a party of them feared men as they fear Allah or with [even] greater fear. They said, "Our Lord, why have You decreed upon us fighting? If only You had postponed [it for] us for a short time." Say, The enjoyment of this world is little, and the Hereafter is better for he who fears Allah. And injustice will not be done to you, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed]."
  • 4:94 · An-Nisaٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldO you who have believed, when you go forth [to fight] in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life; for with Allah are many acquisitions. You [yourselves] were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.
  • 4:109 · An-Nisaٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldHere you are - those who argue on their behalf in [this] worldly life - but who will argue with Allah for them on the Day of Resurrection, or who will [then] be their representative?
  • 4:134 · An-Nisaٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world Whoever desires the reward of this world - then with Allah is the reward of this world and the Hereafter. And ever is Allah Hearing and Seeing.
  • 4:134 · An-Nisaٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldWhoever desires the reward of this world - then with Allah is the reward of this world and the Hereafter. And ever is Allah Hearing and Seeing.
  • 5:33 · Al-Ma'idahٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ the worldIndeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment,
  • 5:41 · Al-Ma'idahٱلدُّنْيَا the worldO Messenger, let them not grieve you who hasten into disbelief of those who say, "We believe" with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, listening to another people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] usages, saying "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." But he for whom Allah intends fitnah - never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allah. Those are the ones for whom Allah does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.
  • 6:29 · Al-An'amٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldAnd they say, "There is none but our worldly life, and we will not be resurrected."
  • 6:32 · Al-An'amٱلدُّنْيَآ (of) the worldAnd the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah, so will you not reason?
  • 6:70 · Al-An'amٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ (of) the worldAnd leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with the Qur'an, lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will have other than Allah no protector and no intercessor. And if it should offer every compensation, it would not be taken from it. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they have earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve.
  • 6:130 · Al-An'amٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world"O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.
  • 7:32 · Al-A'rafٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldSay, "Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?" Say, "They are for those who believe during the worldly life [but] exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection." Thus do We detail the verses for a people who know.
  • 7:51 · Al-A'rafٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ (of) the worldWho took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded." So today We will forget them just as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs and for having rejected Our verses.
  • 7:152 · Al-A'rafٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ (of) the worldIndeed, those who took the calf [for worship] will obtain anger from their Lord and humiliation in the life of this world, and thus do We recompense the inventors [of falsehood].
  • 7:156 · Al-A'rafٱلدُّنْيَا [the] worldAnd decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You." [Allah] said, "My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things." So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses -
  • 8:42 · Al-Anfalٱلدُّنْيَا the nearer[Remember] when you were on the near side of the valley, and they were on the farther side, and the caravan was lower [in position] than you. If you had made an appointment [to meet], you would have missed the appointment. But [it was] so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined - that those who perished [through disbelief] would perish upon evidence and those who lived [in faith] would live upon evidence; and indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
  • 8:67 · Al-Anfalٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldIt is not for a prophet to have captives [of war] until he inflicts a massacre [upon Allah 's enemies] in the land. Some Muslims desire the commodities of this world, but Allah desires [for you] the Hereafter. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
  • 9:38 · At-Tawbahٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldO you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah, you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little.
  • 9:55 · At-Tawbahٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldSo let not their wealth or their children impress you. Allah only intends to punish them through them in worldly life and that their souls should depart [at death] while they are disbelievers.
  • 9:69 · At-Tawbahٱلدُّنْيَا the world[You disbelievers are] like those before you; they were stronger than you in power and more abundant in wealth and children. They enjoyed their portion [of worldly enjoyment], and you have enjoyed your portion as those before you enjoyed their portion, and you have engaged [in vanities] like that in which they engaged. [It is] those whose deeds have become worthless in this world and in the Hereafter, and it is they who are the losers.
  • 9:74 · At-Tawbahٱلدُّنْيَا the worldThey swear by Allah that they did not say [anything against the Prophet] while they had said the word of disbelief and disbelieved after their [pretense of] Islam and planned that which they were not to attain. And they were not resentful except [for the fact] that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His bounty. So if they repent, it is better for them; but if they turn away, Allah will punish them with a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And there will not be for them on earth any protector or helper.
  • 9:85 · At-Tawbahٱلدُّنْيَا the worldAnd let not their wealth and their children impress you. Allah only intends to punish them through them in this world and that their souls should depart [at death] while they are disbelievers.
  • 10:7 · Yunusٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldIndeed, those who do not expect the meeting with Us and are satisfied with the life of this world and feel secure therein and those who are heedless of Our signs
  • 10:23 · Yunusٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ (of) the worldBut when He saves them, at once they commit injustice upon the earth without right. O mankind, your injustice is only against yourselves, [being merely] the enjoyment of worldly life. Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you used to do.
  • 10:24 · Yunusٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldThe example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.
  • 10:64 · Yunusٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldFor them are good tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. No change is there in the words of Allah. That is what is the great attainment.

  • 10:88 · Yunusٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldAnd Moses said, "Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth in the worldly life, our Lord, that they may lead [men] astray from Your way. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth and harden their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment."
  • 10:98 · Yunusٱلدُّنْيَا of the worldThen has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time.
  • 11:15 · Hudٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldWhoever desires the life of this world and its adornments - We fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived.
  • 11:60 · Hudٱلدُّنْيَا worldAnd they were [therefore] followed in this world with a curse and [as well] on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, 'Aad denied their Lord; then away with 'Aad, the people of Hud.
  • 12:101 · Yusufٱلدُّنْيَا the worldMy Lord, You have given me [something] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous."
  • 13:26 · Ar-Ra'dٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the worldAllah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. And they rejoice in the worldly life, while the worldly life is not, compared to the Hereafter, except [brief] enjoyment.
  • 13:26 · Ar-Ra'dٱلدُّنْيَا of the worldAllah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. And they rejoice in the worldly life, while the worldly life is not, compared to the Hereafter, except [brief] enjoyment.

  • 16:30 · An-Nahlٱلدُّنْيَا worldAnd it will be said to those who feared Allah, "What did your Lord send down?" They will say, "[That which is] good." For those who do good in this world is good; and the home of the Hereafter is better. And how excellent is the home of the righteous -
  • 16:41 · An-Nahlٱلدُّنْيَا the worldAnd those who emigrated for [the cause of] Allah after they had been wronged - We will surely settle them in this world in a good place; but the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if only they could know.
