Made with Niyat · niyatapp.com/ramadan-planner · “Whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins are forgiven.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 38)

How it works

Ramadan 1448 is expected to start on Monday 8 February 2027. This planner follows the daily worship the Prophet ﷺ encouraged: fasting, the night prayer, reading and sharing the Qur’an, and giving. Your progress never leaves your device.

How this works and where it comes from

  • Fasting. “Whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins are forgiven” (Sahih al-Bukhari 38, Sahih Muslim 760). The fast runs from dawn to sunset (Qur’an 2:187).
  • Night prayer. “Whoever stands in prayer in Ramadan with faith and seeking reward, his past sins are forgiven” (Sahih al-Bukhari 37, Sahih Muslim 759). The planner calls it taraweeh / qiyam.
  • Qur’an. Jibril met the Prophet ﷺ every night of Ramadan to review the Qur’an (Sahih al-Bukhari 6). A khatm in 30 days is one juz a day, or 20.1 pages of the 604-page Madinah mushaf.
  • Giving. The Prophet ﷺ was the most generous of people, and most generous in Ramadan (Sahih al-Bukhari 6, Sahih Muslim 2308).
  • Streaks. A day is complete when you tick the fast and all five prayers. Excused days are skipped. Today is read from your device clock.
  • Dates. Gregorian dates use the Umm al-Qura estimate, the same as our Ramadan 2027 date page. Change the first day to match your local moon sighting.

Frequently asked questions

When does Ramadan 2027 start?

Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin on Monday 8 February 2027 by the Umm al-Qura calendar, and Eid al-Fitr on Tuesday 9 March 2027. Many communities wait for the new moon to be sighted, so your first fast may fall a day either side. Change “Ramadan day 1 is” in the planner and every date follows.

Is my progress saved or shared?

It is saved only in your browser’s local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to Niyat or anyone else. Clearing site data erases it, so use the Back up button to keep a copy, and Restore to load it on another device.

What counts as a complete day?

A fast and all five prayers. If you are excused (illness, travel, menstruation or postpartum bleeding; see Qur’an 2:184–185), mark the day excused: it does not break your streak and is left out of the counts.

How many Qur’an pages a day finish a khatm in Ramadan?

The Madinah mushaf has 604 pages. Over 30 days that is 20.1 pages a day, or one juz a day. The planner shows whether you are ahead or behind that pace and what the rest of the month needs. The 30-day schedule lists the juz for each day.

How many rak’ahs is taraweeh?

Practice differs. Many pray 8 rak’ahs plus witr, following the report of ‘A’ishah that the Prophet ﷺ did not pray more than eleven in Ramadan or outside it (Sahih al-Bukhari 1147). Many others pray 20 as in the Haramayn. The planner only records that you prayed.

How do I print the tracker?

Choose A4 or US Letter, press “Print 30-day tracker”, and use your browser’s print dialog. Choose “Save as PDF” to keep a file. The sheet is one portrait page with a row for each day and a shaded row for each Friday.
