سُورَةُ الفُرۡقَانِ

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
1
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَ نَذِيرًا
تَبَارَكَtabārakaBlessed is HeٱلَّذِىalladhīWhoنَزَّلَnazzalasent downٱلْفُرْقَانَl-fur'qānathe CriterionعَلَىٰʿalāuponعَبْدِهِۦʿabdihiHis slaveلِيَكُونَliyakūnathat he may beلِلْعَـٰلَمِينَlil'ʿālamīnato the worldsنَذِيرًاnadhīrana warner
Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner
⤳ Link 25:1
2
ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًۭا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ شَرِيكٌۭ فِى ٱلْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍۢ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ تَقْدِيرًۭا
ٱلَّذِىalladhīThe One Who لَهُۥlahuto Him (belongs)مُلْكُmul'ku(the) dominionٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthوَلَمْwalamand notيَتَّخِذْyattakhidhHe has takenوَلَدًۭاwaladana sonوَلَمْwalamand notيَكُنyakunHe hasلَّهُۥlahufor Himشَرِيكٌۭsharīkuna partnerفِىinٱلْمُلْكِl-mul'kithe dominionوَخَلَقَwakhalaqaand He (has) createdكُلَّkullaeveryشَىْءٍۢshayinthingفَقَدَّرَهُۥfaqaddarahuand determined itتَقْدِيرًۭاtaqdīran(with) determination
He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination
⤳ Link 25:2
3
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةًۭ لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّۭا وَلَا نَفْعًۭا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًۭا وَلَا حَيَوٰةًۭ وَلَا نُشُورًۭا
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟wa-ittakhadhūYet they have takenمِنminbesides Himدُونِهِۦٓdūnihibesides Himءَالِهَةًۭālihatangodsلَّاnotيَخْلُقُونَyakhluqūnathey createشَيْـًۭٔاshayananythingوَهُمْwahumwhile theyيُخْلَقُونَyukh'laqūnaare createdوَلَاwalāand notيَمْلِكُونَyamlikūnathey possessلِأَنفُسِهِمْli-anfusihimfor themselvesضَرًّۭاḍarranany harmوَلَاwalāand notنَفْعًۭاnafʿanany benefitوَلَاwalāand notيَمْلِكُونَyamlikūnathey controlمَوْتًۭاmawtandeathوَلَاwalāand notحَيَوٰةًۭḥayatanlifeوَلَاwalāand notنُشُورًۭاnushūranresurrection
But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection
⤳ Link 25:3
4
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّآ إِفْكٌ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ وَأَعَانَهُۥ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ ءَاخَرُونَ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءُو ظُلْمًۭا وَزُورًۭا
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd sayٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟kafarūdisbelieveإِنْinNotهَـٰذَآhādhāthisإِلَّآillā(is) butإِفْكٌif'kuna lieٱفْتَرَىٰهُif'tarāhuhe invented itوَأَعَانَهُۥwa-aʿānahuand helped himعَلَيْهِʿalayhiat itقَوْمٌqawmunpeopleءَاخَرُونَ ۖākharūnaotherفَقَدْfaqadBut verilyجَآءُوjāūthey (have) producedظُلْمًۭاẓul'manan injusticeوَزُورًۭاwazūranand a lie
And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie
⤳ Link 25:4
5
وَقَالُوٓا۟ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٱكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِىَ تُمْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةًۭ وَأَصِيلًۭا
وَقَالُوٓا۟waqālūAnd they sayأَسَـٰطِيرُasāṭīruTalesٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna(of) the former peopleٱكْتَتَبَهَاik'tatabahāwhich he has had writtenفَهِىَfahiyaand theyتُمْلَىٰtum'lāare dictatedعَلَيْهِʿalayhito himبُكْرَةًۭbuk'ratanmorningوَأَصِيلًۭاwa-aṣīlanand evening
And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon
⤳ Link 25:5
6
قُلْ أَنزَلَهُ ٱلَّذِى يَعْلَمُ ٱلسِّرَّ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا
قُلْqulSayأَنزَلَهُanzalahuHas sent it downٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One Whoيَعْلَمُyaʿlamuknowsٱلسِّرَّl-sirathe secretفِىinٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚwal-arḍiand the earthإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, HeكَانَkānaisغَفُورًۭاghafūranOft-ForgivingرَّحِيمًۭاraḥīmanMost Merciful
Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful

7
وَقَالُوا۟ مَالِ هَـٰذَا ٱلرَّسُولِ يَأْكُلُ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِى فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۙ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌۭ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُۥ نَذِيرًا
وَقَالُوا۟waqālūAnd they sayمَالِmāliWhy doesهَـٰذَاhādhāthisٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūliMessengerيَأْكُلُyakulueatٱلطَّعَامَl-ṭaʿāma[the] foodوَيَمْشِىwayamshīand walkفِىinٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۙl-aswāqithe marketsلَوْلَآlawlāWhy notأُنزِلَunzilais sent downإِلَيْهِilayhito himمَلَكٌۭmalakunan Angelفَيَكُونَfayakūnathen he beمَعَهُۥmaʿahuwith himنَذِيرًاnadhīrana warner
And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner
⤳ Link 25:7
8
أَوْ يُلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ تَكُونُ لَهُۥ جَنَّةٌۭ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا ۚ وَقَالَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًۭا مَّسْحُورًا
أَوْawOrيُلْقَىٰٓyul'qāis deliveredإِلَيْهِilayhito himكَنزٌkanzuna treasureأَوْaworتَكُونُtakūnuisلَهُۥlahufor himجَنَّةٌۭjannatuna gardenيَأْكُلُyakuluhe may eatمِنْهَا ۚmin'hāfrom itوَقَالَwaqālaAnd sayٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَl-ẓālimūnathe wrongdoersإِنinNotتَتَّبِعُونَtattabiʿūnayou followإِلَّاillābutرَجُلًۭاrajulana manمَّسْحُورًاmasḥūranbewitched
Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic
⤳ Link 25:8
9
ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا۟ لَكَ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ فَضَلُّوا۟ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًۭا
ٱنظُرْunẓurSeeكَيْفَkayfahowضَرَبُوا۟ḍarabūthey set forthلَكَlakafor youٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَl-amthālathe similitudesفَضَلُّوا۟faḍallūbut they have gone astrayفَلَاfalāso notيَسْتَطِيعُونَyastaṭīʿūnathey are able (to find)سَبِيلًۭاsabīlana way
Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way
⤳ Link 25:9
10
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِن شَآءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًۭا مِّن ذَٰلِكَ جَنَّـٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ وَيَجْعَل لَّكَ قُصُورًۢا
تَبَارَكَtabārakaBlessed is HeٱلَّذِىٓalladhīWhoإِنinifشَآءَshāaHe willedجَعَلَjaʿala(could have) madeلَكَlakafor youخَيْرًۭاkhayranbetterمِّنminthanذَٰلِكَdhālikathat جَنَّـٰتٍۢjannātingardens تَجْرِىtajrīflowمِنminfromتَحْتِهَاtaḥtihāunderneath itٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُl-anhāruthe riversوَيَجْعَلwayajʿaland He (could) makeلَّكَlakafor youقُصُورًۢاquṣūranpalaces
Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces
⤳ Link 25:10
11
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِمَن كَذَّبَ بِٱلسَّاعَةِ سَعِيرًا
بَلْbalNayكَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūthey denyبِٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖbil-sāʿatithe Hourوَأَعْتَدْنَاwa-aʿtadnāand We have preparedلِمَنlimanfor (those) whoكَذَّبَkadhabadenyبِٱلسَّاعَةِbil-sāʿatithe Hourسَعِيرًاsaʿīrana Blazing Fire
But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze
⤳ Link 25:11
12
إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍۭ بَعِيدٍۢ سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا تَغَيُّظًۭا وَزَفِيرًۭا
إِذَاidhāWhenرَأَتْهُمra-athumit sees themمِّنminfromمَّكَانٍۭmakānina placeبَعِيدٍۢbaʿīdinfarسَمِعُوا۟samiʿūthey will hearلَهَاlahāitsتَغَيُّظًۭاtaghayyuẓanragingوَزَفِيرًۭاwazafīranand roaring
When the Hellfire sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring
⤳ Link 25:12
13
وَإِذَآ أُلْقُوا۟ مِنْهَا مَكَانًۭا ضَيِّقًۭا مُّقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوْا۟ هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًۭا
وَإِذَآwa-idhāAnd whenأُلْقُوا۟ul'qūthey are thrownمِنْهَاmin'hāthereofمَكَانًۭاmakānan(in) a placeضَيِّقًۭاḍayyiqannarrowمُّقَرَّنِينَmuqarranīnabound in chainsدَعَوْا۟daʿawthey will callهُنَالِكَhunālikathereثُبُورًۭاthubūran(for) destruction
And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction
⤳ Link 25:13
14
لَّا تَدْعُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًۭا وَٰحِدًۭا وَٱدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًۭا كَثِيرًۭا
لَّا(Do) notتَدْعُوا۟tadʿūcallٱلْيَوْمَl-yawmathis dayثُبُورًۭاthubūran(for) destructionوَٰحِدًۭاwāḥidanoneوَٱدْعُوا۟wa-id'ʿūbut callثُبُورًۭاthubūran(for) destructionsكَثِيرًۭاkathīranmany
[They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction
⤳ Link 25:14
15
قُلْ أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ أَمْ جَنَّةُ ٱلْخُلْدِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۚ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَزَآءًۭ وَمَصِيرًۭا
قُلْqulSayأَذَٰلِكَadhālikaIs thatخَيْرٌkhayrunbetterأَمْamorجَنَّةُjannatuGardenٱلْخُلْدِl-khul'di(of) Eternityٱلَّتِىallatīwhichوُعِدَwuʿidais promisedٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۚl-mutaqūna(to) the righteousكَانَتْkānatIt will beلَهُمْlahumfor themجَزَآءًۭjazāana rewardوَمَصِيرًۭاwamaṣīranand destination
Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination
⤳ Link 25:15
16
لَّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ خَـٰلِدِينَ ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعْدًۭا مَّسْـُٔولًۭا
لَّهُمْlahumFor themفِيهَاfīhāthereinمَا(is) whateverيَشَآءُونَyashāūnathey wishخَـٰلِدِينَ ۚkhālidīnathey will abide foreverكَانَkānaIt isعَلَىٰʿalāonرَبِّكَrabbikayour Lordوَعْدًۭاwaʿdana promiseمَّسْـُٔولًۭاmasūlanrequested
For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested
⤳ Link 25:16
17
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ ءَأَنتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِى هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ
وَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd (the) DayيَحْشُرُهُمْyaḥshuruhumHe will gather themوَمَاwamāand whatيَعْبُدُونَyaʿbudūnathey worshipمِنminbesides Allahدُونِdūnibesides Allahٱللَّهِl-lahibesides Allahفَيَقُولُfayaqūluand He will sayءَأَنتُمْa-antumDid youأَضْلَلْتُمْaḍlaltum[you] misleadعِبَادِىʿibādīMy slavesهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِhāulāitheseأَمْamorهُمْhumtheyضَلُّوا۟ḍallūwent astrayٱلسَّبِيلَl-sabīla(from) the way
And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allah and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way
⤳ Link 25:17
18
قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِى لَنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَـٰكِن مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۢا بُورًۭا
قَالُوا۟qālūThey sayسُبْحَـٰنَكَsub'ḥānakaGlory be to YouمَاNotكَانَkānait was properيَنۢبَغِىyanbaghīit was properلَنَآlanāfor usأَنanthatنَّتَّخِذَnattakhidhawe takeمِنminbesides Youدُونِكَdūnikabesides YouمِنْminanyأَوْلِيَآءَawliyāaprotectorsوَلَـٰكِنwalākinButمَّتَّعْتَهُمْmattaʿtahumYou gave them comfortsوَءَابَآءَهُمْwaābāahumand their forefathersحَتَّىٰḥattāuntilنَسُوا۟nasūthey forgotٱلذِّكْرَl-dhik'rathe Messageوَكَانُوا۟wakānūand becameقَوْمًۢاqawmana peopleبُورًۭاbūranruined
They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined
⤳ Link 25:18
19
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوكُم بِمَا تَقُولُونَ فَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ صَرْفًۭا وَلَا نَصْرًۭا ۚ وَمَن يَظْلِم مِّنكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًۭا كَبِيرًۭا
فَقَدْfaqadSo verilyكَذَّبُوكُمkadhabūkumthey deny youبِمَاbimāin whatتَقُولُونَtaqūlūnayou sayفَمَاfamāso notتَسْتَطِيعُونَtastaṭīʿūnayou are ableصَرْفًۭاṣarfan(to) avertوَلَاwalāand notنَصْرًۭا ۚnaṣran(to) helpوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverيَظْلِمyaẓlimdoes wrongمِّنكُمْminkumamong youنُذِقْهُnudhiq'huWe will make him tasteعَذَابًۭاʿadhābana punishmentكَبِيرًۭاkabīrangreat
So they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you - We will make him taste a great punishment
⤳ Link 25:19
20
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِى ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۗ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍۢ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًۭا
وَمَآwamāAnd notأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentقَبْلَكَqablakabefore youمِنَminaanyٱلْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnaMessengersإِلَّآillābutإِنَّهُمْinnahumindeed, theyلَيَأْكُلُونَlayakulūna[surely] ateٱلطَّعَامَl-ṭaʿāmafoodوَيَمْشُونَwayamshūnaand walkedفِىinٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۗl-aswāqithe marketsوَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāAnd We have madeبَعْضَكُمْbaʿḍakumsome of youلِبَعْضٍۢlibaʿḍinfor othersفِتْنَةًfit'natana trialأَتَصْبِرُونَ ۗataṣbirūnawill you have patienceوَكَانَwakānaAnd isرَبُّكَrabbukayour LordبَصِيرًۭاbaṣīranAll-Seer
And We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing
⤳ Link 25:20
21
۞ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّۭا كَبِيرًۭا
۞ وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَا(do) notيَرْجُونَyarjūnaexpectلِقَآءَنَاliqāanā(the) meeting with UsلَوْلَآlawlāWhy notأُنزِلَunzilaare sent downعَلَيْنَاʿalaynāto usٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُl-malāikatuthe Angelsأَوْaworنَرَىٰnarāwe seeرَبَّنَا ۗrabbanāour LordلَقَدِlaqadiIndeedٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟is'takbarūthey have become arrogantفِىٓwithinأَنفُسِهِمْanfusihimthemselvesوَعَتَوْwaʿatawand (become) insolentعُتُوًّۭاʿutuwwan(with) insolenceكَبِيرًۭاkabīrangreat
And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence
⤳ Link 25:21
22
يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًۭا مَّحْجُورًۭا
يَوْمَyawma(The) Dayيَرَوْنَyarawnathey seeٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَl-malāikatathe Angelsلَاnoبُشْرَىٰbush'rāglad tidingsيَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhin(will be) that Dayلِّلْمُجْرِمِينَlil'muj'rimīnafor the criminalsوَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaand they will sayحِجْرًۭاḥij'ranA partitionمَّحْجُورًۭاmaḥjūranforbidden
The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible
⤳ Link 25:22
23
وَقَدِمْنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنْ عَمَلٍۢ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ هَبَآءًۭ مَّنثُورًا
وَقَدِمْنَآwaqadim'nāAnd We will proceedإِلَىٰilātoمَاwhateverعَمِلُوا۟ʿamilūthey didمِنْminofعَمَلٍۢʿamalin(the) deed(s)فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُfajaʿalnāhuand We will make themهَبَآءًۭhabāan(as) dustمَّنثُورًاmanthūrandispersed
And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed
⤳ Link 25:23
24
أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌۭ مُّسْتَقَرًّۭا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًۭا
أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(The) companionsٱلْجَنَّةِl-janati(of) Paradiseيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayخَيْرٌۭkhayrun(will be in) a betterمُّسْتَقَرًّۭاmus'taqarranabodeوَأَحْسَنُwa-aḥsanuand a betterمَقِيلًۭاmaqīlanresting-place
The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place
⤳ Link 25:24
25
وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَـٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا
وَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd (the) Dayتَشَقَّقُtashaqqaquwill split openٱلسَّمَآءُl-samāuthe heavensبِٱلْغَمَـٰمِbil-ghamāmiwith the cloudsوَنُزِّلَwanuzzilaand (will be) sent downٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُl-malāikatuthe Angelsتَنزِيلًاtanzīlandescending
And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent
⤳ Link 25:25
26
ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ عَسِيرًۭا
ٱلْمُلْكُal-mul'kuThe Sovereigntyيَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Dayٱلْحَقُّl-ḥaqu(will be) trulyلِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚlilrraḥmānifor the Most GraciousوَكَانَwakānaAnd (it will) beيَوْمًاyawmana Dayعَلَىʿalāforٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīnathe disbelieversعَسِيرًۭاʿasīrandifficult
True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day
⤳ Link 25:26
27
وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًۭا
وَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd (the) Dayيَعَضُّyaʿaḍḍuwill biteٱلظَّالِمُl-ẓālimuthe wrongdoerعَلَىٰʿalā[on]يَدَيْهِyadayhihis handsيَقُولُyaqūluhe will sayيَـٰلَيْتَنِىyālaytanīO I wishٱتَّخَذْتُittakhadhtuI had takenمَعَmaʿawithٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūlithe Messengerسَبِيلًۭاsabīlana way
And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way
⤳ Link 25:27
28
يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًۭا
يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰyāwaylatāO woe to meلَيْتَنِىlaytanīI wishلَمْlamnotأَتَّخِذْattakhidhI had takenفُلَانًاfulānanthat oneخَلِيلًۭاkhalīlan(as) a friend
Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend
⤳ Link 25:28
29
لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ خَذُولًۭا
لَّقَدْlaqadVerilyأَضَلَّنِىaḍallanīhe led me astrayعَنِʿanifromٱلذِّكْرِl-dhik'rithe Reminderبَعْدَbaʿdaafterإِذْidh[when]جَآءَنِى ۗjāanīit (had) come to meوَكَانَwakānaAnd isٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānuthe Shaitaanلِلْإِنسَـٰنِlil'insānito the manخَذُولًۭاkhadhūlana deserter
He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter
⤳ Link 25:29
30
وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَـٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًۭا
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidٱلرَّسُولُl-rasūluthe MessengerيَـٰرَبِّyārabbiO my LordإِنَّinnaIndeedقَوْمِىqawmīmy peopleٱتَّخَذُوا۟ittakhadhūtookهَـٰذَاhādhāthisٱلْقُرْءَانَl-qur'ānathe Quranمَهْجُورًۭاmahjūran(as) a forsaken thing
And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned
⤳ Link 25:30
31
وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًۭا وَنَصِيرًۭا
وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālikaAnd thusجَعَلْنَاjaʿalnāWe have madeلِكُلِّlikullifor everyنَبِىٍّnabiyyinProphetعَدُوًّۭاʿaduwwanan enemyمِّنَminaamongٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗl-muj'rimīnathe criminalsوَكَفَىٰwakafāBut sufficient isبِرَبِّكَbirabbikayour Lordهَادِيًۭاhādiyan(as) a Guideوَنَصِيرًۭاwanaṣīranand a Helper
And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper
⤳ Link 25:31
32
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ جُمْلَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُ تَرْتِيلًۭا
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelieveلَوْلَاlawlāWhy notنُزِّلَnuzzilawas revealedعَلَيْهِʿalayhito himٱلْقُرْءَانُl-qur'ānuthe Quranجُمْلَةًۭjum'latanall at onceوَٰحِدَةًۭ ۚwāḥidatanall at onceكَذَٰلِكَkadhālikaThusلِنُثَبِّتَlinuthabbitathat We may strengthenبِهِۦbihitherebyفُؤَادَكَ ۖfuādakayour heartوَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُwarattalnāhuand We have recited itتَرْتِيلًۭاtartīlan(with distinct) recitation
And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly
⤳ Link 25:32
33
وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَـٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا
وَلَاwalāAnd notيَأْتُونَكَyatūnakathey come to youبِمَثَلٍbimathalinwith an exampleإِلَّاillābutجِئْنَـٰكَji'nākaWe bring youبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqithe truthوَأَحْسَنَwa-aḥsanaand (the) bestتَفْسِيرًاtafsīranexplanation
And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation
⤳ Link 25:33
34
ٱلَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّۭ مَّكَانًۭا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًۭا
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoيُحْشَرُونَyuḥ'sharūnawill be gatheredعَلَىٰʿalāonوُجُوهِهِمْwujūhihimtheir facesإِلَىٰilātoجَهَنَّمَjahannamaHellأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikathoseشَرٌّۭsharrun(are the) worstمَّكَانًۭاmakānan(in) positionوَأَضَلُّwa-aḍalluand most astrayسَبِيلًۭاsabīlan(from the) way
The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way
⤳ Link 25:34
35
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُۥٓ أَخَاهُ هَـٰرُونَ وَزِيرًۭا
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyءَاتَيْنَاātaynāWe gaveمُوسَىmūsāMusaٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe Scriptureوَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāand We appointedمَعَهُۥٓmaʿahuwith himأَخَاهُakhāhuhis brotherهَـٰرُونَhārūnaHarunوَزِيرًۭاwazīran(as) an assistant
And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant
⤳ Link 25:35
36
فَقُلْنَا ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْ تَدْمِيرًۭا
فَقُلْنَاfaqul'nāThen We saidٱذْهَبَآidh'habāGo both of youإِلَىilātoٱلْقَوْمِl-qawmithe peopleٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūhave deniedبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاbiāyātināOur SignsفَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْfadammarnāhumThen We destroyed themتَدْمِيرًۭاtadmīran(with) destruction
And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction
⤳ Link 25:36
37
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا۟ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا
وَقَوْمَwaqawmaAnd (the) peopleنُوحٍۢnūḥin(of) Nuhلَّمَّاlammāwhenكَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūthey deniedٱلرُّسُلَl-rusulathe MessengersأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْaghraqnāhumWe drowned themوَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْwajaʿalnāhumand We made themلِلنَّاسِlilnnāsifor mankindءَايَةًۭ ۖāyatana signوَأَعْتَدْنَاwa-aʿtadnāAnd We have preparedلِلظَّـٰلِمِينَlilẓẓālimīnafor the wrongdoersعَذَابًاʿadhābana punishmentأَلِيمًۭاalīmanpainful
And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment
⤳ Link 25:37
38
وَعَادًۭا وَثَمُودَا۟ وَأَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًۢا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًۭا
وَعَادًۭاwaʿādanAnd Adوَثَمُودَا۟wathamūdāand Thamudوَأَصْحَـٰبَwa-aṣḥābaand (the) dwellersٱلرَّسِّl-rasi(of) Ar-rassوَقُرُونًۢاwaqurūnanand generationsبَيْنَbaynabetweenذَٰلِكَdhālikathatكَثِيرًۭاkathīranmany
And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them
⤳ Link 25:38
39
وَكُلًّۭا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ ۖ وَكُلًّۭا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًۭا
وَكُلًّۭاwakullanAnd eachضَرَبْنَاḍarabnāWe have set forthلَهُlahufor himٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ ۖl-amthālathe examplesوَكُلًّۭاwakullanand eachتَبَّرْنَاtabbarnāWe destroyedتَتْبِيرًۭاtatbīran(with) destruction
And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction
⤳ Link 25:39
40
وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًۭا
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyأَتَوْا۟atawthey have comeعَلَىʿalāuponٱلْقَرْيَةِl-qaryatithe townٱلَّتِىٓallatīwhichأُمْطِرَتْum'ṭiratwas showeredمَطَرَmaṭara(with) a rainٱلسَّوْءِ ۚl-sawi(of) evilأَفَلَمْafalamThen do notيَكُونُوا۟yakūnūthey [were]يَرَوْنَهَا ۚyarawnahāsee itبَلْbalNayكَانُوا۟kānūthey areلَاnotيَرْجُونَyarjūnaexpectingنُشُورًۭاnushūranResurrection
And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection
⤳ Link 25:40
41
وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenرَأَوْكَra-awkathey see youإِنinnotيَتَّخِذُونَكَyattakhidhūnakathey take youإِلَّاillāexceptهُزُوًاhuzuwan(in) mockeryأَهَـٰذَاahādhāIs thisٱلَّذِىalladhīthe one whomبَعَثَbaʿathaAllah has sentٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah has sentرَسُولًاrasūlan(as) a Messenger
And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger
⤳ Link 25:41
42
إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوْلَآ أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
إِنinHe would have almostكَادَkādaHe would have almostلَيُضِلُّنَاlayuḍillunā[surely] misled usعَنْʿanfromءَالِهَتِنَاālihatināour godsلَوْلَآlawlāif notأَنanthatصَبَرْنَاṣabarnāwe had been steadfastعَلَيْهَا ۚʿalayhāto themوَسَوْفَwasawfaAnd soonيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnawill knowحِينَḥīnawhenيَرَوْنَyarawnathey will seeٱلْعَذَابَl-ʿadhābathe punishmentمَنْmanwhoأَضَلُّaḍallu(is) more astrayسَبِيلًاsabīlan(from the) way
He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way
⤳ Link 25:42
43
أَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَـٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا
أَرَءَيْتَara-aytaHave you seenمَنِmani(one) whoٱتَّخَذَittakhadhatakesإِلَـٰهَهُۥilāhahu(as) his godهَوَىٰهُhawāhuhis own desireأَفَأَنتَafa-antaThen would youتَكُونُtakūnubeعَلَيْهِʿalayhiover himوَكِيلًاwakīlana guardian
Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him
⤳ Link 25:43
44
أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
أَمْamOrتَحْسَبُtaḥsabudo you thinkأَنَّannathatأَكْثَرَهُمْaktharahummost of themيَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūnahearأَوْaworيَعْقِلُونَ ۚyaʿqilūnaunderstandإِنْinNotهُمْhumtheyإِلَّاillā(are) exceptكَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ۖkal-anʿāmilike cattleبَلْbalNayهُمْhumtheyأَضَلُّaḍallu(are) more astrayسَبِيلًاsabīlan(from the) way
Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way
⤳ Link 25:44
45
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنًۭا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًۭا
أَلَمْalamDo you notتَرَtaraseeإِلَىٰilā[to]رَبِّكَrabbikayour LordكَيْفَkayfahowمَدَّmaddaHe extendsٱلظِّلَّl-ẓilathe shadowوَلَوْwalawAnd ifشَآءَshāaHe willedلَجَعَلَهُۥlajaʿalahusurely He (could) have made itسَاكِنًۭاsākinanstationaryثُمَّthummaThenجَعَلْنَاjaʿalnāWe madeٱلشَّمْسَl-shamsathe sunعَلَيْهِʿalayhifor itدَلِيلًۭاdalīlanan indication
Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication
⤳ Link 25:45
46
ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَـٰهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًۭا يَسِيرًۭا
ثُمَّthummaThenقَبَضْنَـٰهُqabaḍnāhuWe withdraw itإِلَيْنَاilaynāto Usقَبْضًۭاqabḍana withdrawalيَسِيرًۭاyasīrangradual
Then We hold it in hand for a brief grasp
⤳ Link 25:46
47
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًۭا وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًۭا وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُورًۭا
وَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Whoجَعَلَjaʿalamadeلَكُمُlakumufor youٱلَّيْلَal-laylathe nightلِبَاسًۭاlibāsan(as) a coveringوَٱلنَّوْمَwal-nawmaand the sleepسُبَاتًۭاsubātana restوَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand madeٱلنَّهَارَl-nahārathe dayنُشُورًۭاnushūrana resurrection
And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection
⤳ Link 25:47
48
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ طَهُورًۭا
وَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heٱلَّذِىٓalladhī(is) the One Whoأَرْسَلَarsalasendsٱلرِّيَـٰحَl-riyāḥathe windsبُشْرًۢاbush'ran(as) glad tidingsبَيْنَbaynabeforeيَدَىْyadaybeforeرَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚraḥmatihiHis Mercyوَأَنزَلْنَاwa-anzalnāand We send downمِنَminafromٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāithe skyمَآءًۭmāanwaterطَهُورًۭاṭahūranpure
And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water
⤳ Link 25:48
49
لِّنُحْـِۧىَ بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَآ أَنْعَـٰمًۭا وَأَنَاسِىَّ كَثِيرًۭا
لِّنُحْـِۧىَlinuḥ'yiyaThat We may give lifeبِهِۦbihitherebyبَلْدَةًۭbaldatan(to) a landمَّيْتًۭاmaytandeadوَنُسْقِيَهُۥwanus'qiyahuand We give drinkمِمَّاmimmāthereofخَلَقْنَآkhalaqnā(to those) We createdأَنْعَـٰمًۭاanʿāmancattleوَأَنَاسِىَّwa-anāsiyyaand menكَثِيرًۭاkathīranmany
That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men
⤳ Link 25:49
50
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَـٰهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًۭا
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verilyصَرَّفْنَـٰهُṣarrafnāhuWe have distributed itبَيْنَهُمْbaynahumamong themلِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟liyadhakkarūthat they may rememberفَأَبَىٰٓfa-abābut refuseأَكْثَرُaktharumostٱلنَّاسِl-nāsi(of) the peopleإِلَّاillāexceptكُفُورًۭاkufūrandisbelief
And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief
⤳ Link 25:50
51
وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍۢ نَّذِيرًۭا
وَلَوْwalawAnd ifشِئْنَاshi'nāWe willedلَبَعَثْنَاlabaʿathnāsurely, We (would) have raisedفِىinكُلِّkullieveryقَرْيَةٍۢqaryatintownنَّذِيرًۭاnadhīrana warner
And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner
⤳ Link 25:51
52
فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ وَجَـٰهِدْهُم بِهِۦ جِهَادًۭا كَبِيرًۭا
فَلَاfalāSo (do) notتُطِعِtuṭiʿiobeyٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīnathe disbelieversوَجَـٰهِدْهُمwajāhid'humand strive (against) themبِهِۦbihiwith itجِهَادًۭاjihādana strivingكَبِيرًۭاkabīrangreat
So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving
⤳ Link 25:52
53
۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ هَـٰذَا عَذْبٌۭ فُرَاتٌۭ وَهَـٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌۭ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًۭا وَحِجْرًۭا مَّحْجُورًۭا
۞ وَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Whoمَرَجَmaraja(has) releasedٱلْبَحْرَيْنِl-baḥraynithe two seasهَـٰذَاhādhā[this] (one)عَذْبٌۭʿadhbunpalatableفُرَاتٌۭfurātunand sweetوَهَـٰذَاwahādhāand [this] (one)مِلْحٌmil'ḥunsaltyأُجَاجٌۭujājun(and) bitterوَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand He has madeبَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumābetween themبَرْزَخًۭاbarzakhana barrierوَحِجْرًۭاwaḥij'ranand a partitionمَّحْجُورًۭاmaḥjūranforbidden
And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition
⤳ Link 25:53
54
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ بَشَرًۭا فَجَعَلَهُۥ نَسَبًۭا وَصِهْرًۭا ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًۭا
وَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Whoخَلَقَkhalaqahas createdمِنَminafromٱلْمَآءِl-māithe waterبَشَرًۭاbasharanhuman beingفَجَعَلَهُۥfajaʿalahuand has made (for) himنَسَبًۭاnasabanblood relationshipوَصِهْرًۭا ۗwaṣih'ranand marriage relationshipوَكَانَwakānaAnd isرَبُّكَrabbukayour LordقَدِيرًۭاqadīranAll-Powerful
And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation]
⤳ Link 25:54
55
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ ظَهِيرًۭا
وَيَعْبُدُونَwayaʿbudūnaBut they worshipمِنminbesides Allahدُونِdūnibesides Allahٱللَّهِl-lahibesides Allahمَاwhatلَاnot profits themيَنفَعُهُمْyanfaʿuhumnot profits themوَلَاwalāand notيَضُرُّهُمْ ۗyaḍurruhumharms themوَكَانَwakānaand isٱلْكَافِرُl-kāfiruthe disbelieverعَلَىٰʿalāagainstرَبِّهِۦrabbihihis Lordظَهِيرًۭاẓahīrana helper
But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan]
⤳ Link 25:55
56
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا
وَمَآwamāAnd notأَرْسَلْنَـٰكَarsalnākaWe sent youإِلَّاillāexceptمُبَشِّرًۭاmubashiran(as) a bearer of glad tidingsوَنَذِيرًۭاwanadhīranand a warner
And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner
⤳ Link 25:56
57
قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًۭا
قُلْqulSayمَآNotأَسْـَٔلُكُمْasalukumI ask (of) youعَلَيْهِʿalayhifor itمِنْminanyأَجْرٍajrinpaymentإِلَّاillāexceptمَنman(that) whoever willsشَآءَshāa(that) whoever willsأَنantoيَتَّخِذَyattakhidhatakeإِلَىٰilātoرَبِّهِۦrabbihihis Lordسَبِيلًۭاsabīlana way
Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way
⤳ Link 25:57
58
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْحَىِّ ٱلَّذِى لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا
وَتَوَكَّلْwatawakkalAnd put your trustعَلَىʿalāinٱلْحَىِّl-ḥayithe Ever-Livingٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One Whoلَاdoes not dieيَمُوتُyamūtudoes not dieوَسَبِّحْwasabbiḥand glorifyبِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚbiḥamdihiwith His PraiseوَكَفَىٰwakafāAnd sufficient isبِهِۦbihiHeبِذُنُوبِbidhunūbiregarding the sinsعِبَادِهِۦʿibādihi(of) His slavesخَبِيرًاkhabīranAll-Aware
And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted

59
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ فَسْـَٔلْ بِهِۦ خَبِيرًۭا
ٱلَّذِىalladhīThe One Whoخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earthوَمَاwamāand whateverبَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā(is) between themفِىinسِتَّةِsittatisixأَيَّامٍۢayyāminperiodsثُمَّthummathenٱسْتَوَىٰis'tawāHe established Himselfعَلَىʿalāoverٱلْعَرْشِ ۚl-ʿarshithe Throne ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānuthe Most Graciousفَسْـَٔلْfasalso askبِهِۦbihiHimخَبِيرًۭاkhabīran(as He is) All-Aware
He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed
⤳ Link 25:59
60
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًۭا ۩
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenقِيلَqīlait is saidلَهُمُlahumuto themٱسْجُدُوا۟us'judūProstrateلِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmānito the Most Graciousقَالُوا۟qālūThey sayوَمَاwamāAnd whatٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu(is) the Most GraciousأَنَسْجُدُanasjuduShould we prostrateلِمَاlimāto whatتَأْمُرُنَاtamurunāyou order usوَزَادَهُمْwazādahumAnd it increases themنُفُورًۭا ۩nufūran(in) aversion
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion
⤳ Link 25:60
61
تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجًۭا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجًۭا وَقَمَرًۭا مُّنِيرًۭا
تَبَارَكَtabārakaBlessed is HeٱلَّذِىalladhīWhoجَعَلَjaʿalahas placedفِىinٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāithe skiesبُرُوجًۭاburūjanconstellationsوَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand has placedفِيهَاfīhāthereinسِرَٰجًۭاsirājana lampوَقَمَرًۭاwaqamaranand a moonمُّنِيرًۭاmunīranshining
Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon
⤳ Link 25:61
62
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةًۭ لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًۭا
وَهُوَwahuwaAnd Heٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Whoجَعَلَjaʿalamadeٱلَّيْلَal-laylathe nightوَٱلنَّهَارَwal-nahāraand the dayخِلْفَةًۭkhil'fatan(in) successionلِّمَنْlimanfor whoeverأَرَادَarādadesiresأَنantoيَذَّكَّرَyadhakkararememberأَوْaworأَرَادَarādadesiresشُكُورًۭاshukūranto be thankful
And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude
⤳ Link 25:62
63
وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ هَوْنًۭا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَ قَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًۭا
وَعِبَادُwaʿibāduAnd (the) slavesٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni(of) the Most Graciousٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(are) those whoيَمْشُونَyamshūnawalkعَلَىʿalāonٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthهَوْنًۭاhawnan(in) humblenessوَإِذَاwa-idhāand whenخَاطَبَهُمُkhāṭabahumuaddress themٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَl-jāhilūnathe ignorant onesقَالُوا۟qālūthey sayسَلَـٰمًۭاsalāmanPeace
And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace
⤳ Link 25:63
64
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًۭا وَقِيَـٰمًۭا
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoيَبِيتُونَyabītūnaspend (the) nightلِرَبِّهِمْlirabbihimbefore their Lordسُجَّدًۭاsujjadanprostratingوَقِيَـٰمًۭاwaqiyāmanand standing
And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]
⤳ Link 25:64
65
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoيَقُولُونَyaqūlūnasayرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lordٱصْرِفْiṣ'rifAvertعَنَّاʿannāfrom usعَذَابَʿadhābathe punishmentجَهَنَّمَ ۖjahannama(of) HellإِنَّinnaIndeedعَذَابَهَاʿadhābahāits punishmentكَانَkānaisغَرَامًاgharāmaninseparable
And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering
⤳ Link 25:65
66
إِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّۭا وَمُقَامًۭا
إِنَّهَاinnahāIndeed, itسَآءَتْsāat(is) an evilمُسْتَقَرًّۭاmus'taqarranabodeوَمُقَامًۭاwamuqāmanand resting place
Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence
⤳ Link 25:66
67
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَنفَقُوا۟ لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا۟ وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا۟ وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامًۭا
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoإِذَآidhāwhenأَنفَقُوا۟anfaqūthey spendلَمْlam(are) not extravagantيُسْرِفُوا۟yus'rifū(are) not extravagantوَلَمْwalamand are not stingyيَقْتُرُوا۟yaqturūand are not stingyوَكَانَwakānabut areبَيْنَbaynabetweenذَٰلِكَdhālikathat قَوَامًۭاqawāmanmoderate
And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate
⤳ Link 25:67
68
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًۭا
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoلَا(do) notيَدْعُونَyadʿūnainvokeمَعَmaʿawithٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahإِلَـٰهًاilāhangodءَاخَرَākharaanotherوَلَاwalāand (do) notيَقْتُلُونَyaqtulūna[they] killٱلنَّفْسَl-nafsathe soulٱلَّتِىallatīwhichحَرَّمَḥarramaAllah has forbiddenٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah has forbiddenإِلَّاillāexceptبِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiby rightوَلَاwalāand (do) notيَزْنُونَ ۚyaznūnacommit unlawful sexual intercourseوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverيَفْعَلْyafʿaldoesذَٰلِكَdhālikathatيَلْقَyalqawill meetأَثَامًۭاathāmana penalty
And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty
⤳ Link 25:68
69
يُضَـٰعَفْ لَهُ ٱلْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا
يُضَـٰعَفْyuḍāʿafWill be doubledلَهُlahufor himٱلْعَذَابُl-ʿadhābuthe punishmentيَوْمَyawma(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati(of) Resurrectionوَيَخْلُدْwayakhludand he will abide foreverفِيهِۦfīhithereinمُهَانًاmuhānanhumiliated
Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated
⤳ Link 25:69
70
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًۭا صَـٰلِحًۭا فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ حَسَنَـٰتٍۢ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا
إِلَّاillāExceptمَنman(he) whoتَابَtābarepentsوَءَامَنَwaāmanaand believesوَعَمِلَwaʿamilaand doesعَمَلًۭاʿamalanrighteous deedsصَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥanrighteous deedsفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَfa-ulāikathen (for) thoseيُبَدِّلُyubaddiluAllah will replaceٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah will replaceسَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْsayyiātihimtheir evil deedsحَسَنَـٰتٍۢ ۗḥasanātin(with) good onesوَكَانَwakānaAnd isٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahغَفُورًۭاghafūranOft-ForgivingرَّحِيمًۭاraḥīmanMost Merciful
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful
⤳ Link 25:70
71
وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًۭا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابًۭا
وَمَنwamanAnd whoeverتَابَtābarepentsوَعَمِلَwaʿamilaand doesصَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥanrighteous (deeds)فَإِنَّهُۥfa-innahuthen indeed, heيَتُوبُyatūbuturnsإِلَىilātoٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahمَتَابًۭاmatāban(with) repentance
And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance
⤳ Link 25:71
72
وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِٱللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا۟ كِرَامًۭا
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoلَا(do) notيَشْهَدُونَyashhadūnabear witnessٱلزُّورَl-zūra(to) the falsehoodوَإِذَاwa-idhāand whenمَرُّوا۟marrūthey passبِٱللَّغْوِbil-laghwiby futilityمَرُّوا۟marrūthey passكِرَامًۭاkirāman(as) dignified ones
And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity
⤳ Link 25:72
73
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا۟ عَلَيْهَا صُمًّۭا وَعُمْيَانًۭا
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoإِذَاidhāwhenذُكِّرُوا۟dhukkirūthey are remindedبِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyātiof (the) Versesرَبِّهِمْrabbihim(of) their Lordلَمْlam(do) notيَخِرُّوا۟yakhirrūfallعَلَيْهَاʿalayhāupon themصُمًّۭاṣummandeafوَعُمْيَانًۭاwaʿum'yānanand blind
And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind
⤳ Link 25:73
74
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍۢ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoيَقُولُونَyaqūlūnasayرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur LordهَبْhabGrantلَنَاlanāto usمِنْminfromأَزْوَٰجِنَاazwājināour spousesوَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَاwadhurriyyātināand our offspringقُرَّةَqurratacomfortأَعْيُنٍۢaʿyunin(to) our eyesوَٱجْعَلْنَاwa-ij'ʿalnāand make usلِلْمُتَّقِينَlil'muttaqīnafor the righteousإِمَامًاimāmana leader
And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous
⤳ Link 25:74
75
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ ٱلْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةًۭ وَسَلَـٰمًا
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThoseيُجْزَوْنَyuj'zawnawill be awardedٱلْغُرْفَةَl-ghur'fatathe Chamberبِمَاbimābecauseصَبَرُوا۟ṣabarūthey were patientوَيُلَقَّوْنَwayulaqqawnaand they will be metفِيهَاfīhāthereinتَحِيَّةًۭtaḥiyyatan(with) greetingsوَسَلَـٰمًاwasalāmanand peace
Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace
⤳ Link 25:75
76
خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّۭا وَمُقَامًۭا
خَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīnaWill abide foreverفِيهَا ۚfīhāin itحَسُنَتْḥasunatGoodمُسْتَقَرًّۭاmus'taqarran(is) the settlementوَمُقَامًۭاwamuqāmanand a resting place
Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence
⤳ Link 25:76
77
قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُا۟ بِكُمْ رَبِّى لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًۢا
قُلْqulSayمَاNotيَعْبَؤُا۟yaʿba-uwill careبِكُمْbikumfor youرَبِّىrabbīmy Lordلَوْلَاlawlāif notدُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖduʿāukumyour prayer (is to Him)فَقَدْfaqadBut verilyكَذَّبْتُمْkadhabtumyou have deniedفَسَوْفَfasawfaso soonيَكُونُyakūnuwill beلِزَامًۢاlizāmanthe inevitable (punishment)
Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent
