Surah 99 of 114 · Madani
سُورَةُ الزَّلۡزَلَةِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
1
إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا
إِذَاidhāWhenزُلْزِلَتِzul'zilatiis shakenٱلْأَرْضُl-arḍuthe earthزِلْزَالَهَاzil'zālahā(with) its earthquake
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake

2
وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا
وَأَخْرَجَتِwa-akhrajatiAnd brings forthٱلْأَرْضُl-arḍuthe earthأَثْقَالَهَاathqālahāits burdens
And the earth discharges its burdens

3
وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا لَهَا
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saysٱلْإِنسَـٰنُl-insānumanمَاmāWhatلَهَاlahā(is) with it
And man says, "What is [wrong] with it

99:3
4
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا
يَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhinThat Dayتُحَدِّثُtuḥaddithuit will reportأَخْبَارَهَاakhbārahāits news
That Day, it will report its news

5
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا
بِأَنَّbi-annaBecauseرَبَّكَrabbakayour Lordأَوْحَىٰawḥāinspiredلَهَاlahā[to] it
Because your Lord has commanded it

6
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًۭا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ
يَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhinThat Dayيَصْدُرُyaṣduruwill proceedٱلنَّاسُl-nāsuthe mankindأَشْتَاتًۭاashtātan(in) scattered groupsلِّيُرَوْا۟liyurawto be shownأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْaʿmālahumtheir deeds
That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds

7
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًۭا يَرَهُۥ
فَمَنfamanSo whoeverيَعْمَلْyaʿmaldoesمِثْقَالَmith'qāla(equal to the) weightذَرَّةٍdharratin(of) an atomخَيْرًۭاkhayrangoodيَرَهُۥyarahuwill see it
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it

وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۢ شَرًّۭا يَرَهُۥ
وَمَنwamanAnd whoeverيَعْمَلْyaʿmaldoesمِثْقَالَmith'qāla(equal to the) weightذَرَّةٍۢdharratin(of) an atomشَرًّۭاsharranevilيَرَهُۥyarahuwill see it
And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it
