Surah 100 of 114 · Makki
سُورَةُ العَادِيَاتِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
1
وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ ضَبْحًۭا
وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِwal-ʿādiyātiBy the racersضَبْحًۭاḍabḥanpanting
By the racers, panting
⤳ Link
100:1
2
فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِ قَدْحًۭا
فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِfal-mūriyātiAnd the producers of sparksقَدْحًۭاqadḥanstriking
And the producers of sparks [when] striking

100:2
3
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًۭا
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِfal-mughīrātiAnd the chargersصُبْحًۭاṣub'ḥan(at) dawn
And the chargers at dawn

4
فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًۭا
فَأَثَرْنَfa-atharnaThen raiseبِهِۦbihitherebyنَقْعًۭاnaqʿandust
Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust

100:4
5
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا
فَوَسَطْنَfawasaṭnaThen penetrate (in the) centerبِهِۦbihitherebyجَمْعًاjamʿancollectively
Arriving thereby in the center collectively

100:5
6
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌۭ
إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insānamankindلِرَبِّهِۦlirabbihito his Lordلَكَنُودٌۭlakanūdun(is) surely ungrateful
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful

7
وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌۭ
وَإِنَّهُۥwa-innahuAnd indeed, heعَلَىٰʿalāonذَٰلِكَdhālikathatلَشَهِيدٌۭlashahīdunsurely (is) a witness
And indeed, he is to that a witness

100:7
8
وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ
وَإِنَّهُۥwa-innahuAnd indeed heلِحُبِّliḥubbiin (the) loveٱلْخَيْرِl-khayri(of) wealthلَشَدِيدٌlashadīdun(is) surely intense
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense

۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ
۞ أَفَلَاafalāBut does notيَعْلَمُyaʿlamuhe knowإِذَاidhāwhenبُعْثِرَbuʿ'thirawill be scatteredمَاmāwhatفِىfī(is) inٱلْقُبُورِl-qubūrithe graves
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

10
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ
وَحُصِّلَwaḥuṣṣilaAnd is made apparentمَاmāwhatفِىfī(is) inٱلصُّدُورِl-ṣudūrithe breasts
And that within the breasts is obtained

11
إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ
إِنَّinnaIndeedرَبَّهُمrabbahumtheir Lordبِهِمْbihimabout themيَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhinthat Dayلَّخَبِيرٌۢlakhabīrun(is) surely All-Aware
Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted
