قَدْ كَانَتْ لَكُمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌۭ فِىٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ إِذْ قَالُوا۟ لِقَوْمِهِمْ إِنَّا بُرَءَٰٓؤُا۟ مِنكُمْ وَمِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَفَرْنَا بِكُمْ وَبَدَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةُ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءُ أَبَدًا حَتَّىٰ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَحْدَهُۥٓ إِلَّا قَوْلَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ لَأَسْتَغْفِرَنَّ لَكَ وَمَآ أَمْلِكُ لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍۢ ۖ رَّبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

qad kānat lakum us'watun ḥasanatun fī ib'rāhīma wa-alladhīna maʿahu idh qālū liqawmihim innā buraāu minkum wamimmā taʿbudūna min dūni l-lahi kafarnā bikum wabadā baynanā wabaynakumu l-ʿadāwatu wal-baghḍāu abadan ḥattā tu'minū bil-lahi waḥdahu illā qawla ib'rāhīma li-abīhi la-astaghfiranna laka wamā amliku laka mina l-lahi min shayin rabbanā ʿalayka tawakkalnā wa-ilayka anabnā wa-ilayka l-maṣīru

Meaning

There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allah. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination

  19. دُونِdūnibesides
  20. ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
  21. كَفَرْنَاkafarnāWe have denied
  22. بِكُمْbikumyou
  23. وَبَدَاwabadāand has appeared
  24. بَيْنَنَاbaynanābetween us
  25. وَبَيْنَكُمُwabaynakumuand between you
  26. ٱلْعَدَٰوَةُl-ʿadāwatuenmity
  27. وَٱلْبَغْضَآءُwal-baghḍāuand hatred
  28. أَبَدًاabadanforever
  29. حَتَّىٰḥattāuntil
  30. تُؤْمِنُوا۟tu'minūyou believe
  31. بِٱللَّهِbil-lahiin Allah
  32. وَحْدَهُۥٓwaḥdahuAlone
  33. إِلَّاillāExcept
  34. قَوْلَqawla(the) saying
  35. إِبْرَٰهِيمَib'rāhīma(of) Ibrahim
  36. لِأَبِيهِli-abīhito his father
  37. لَأَسْتَغْفِرَنَّla-astaghfirannaSurely I ask forgiveness
  38. لَكَlakafor you
  39. وَمَآwamābut not
  40. أَمْلِكُamlikuI have power
  41. لَكَlakafor you
  42. مِنَminafrom
  43. ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
  44. مِنminof
  45. شَىْءٍۢ ۖshayinanything
  46. رَّبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lord
  47. عَلَيْكَʿalaykaupon You
  48. تَوَكَّلْنَاtawakkalnāwe put our trust
  49. وَإِلَيْكَwa-ilaykaand to You
  50. أَنَبْنَاanabnāwe turn
  51. وَإِلَيْكَwa-ilaykaand to You
  52. ٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru(is) the final return
