The prayer for forgiveness and mercy

وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ وَٱرْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
waqul rabbi igh'fir wa-ir'ḥam wa-anta khayru l-rāḥimīna
Meaning
And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful
Word by word
- وَقُلwaqulAnd say
- رَّبِّrabbiMy Lord
- ٱغْفِرْigh'firForgive
- وَٱرْحَمْwa-ir'ḥamand have mercy
- وَأَنتَwa-antaand You
- خَيْرُkhayru(are the) Best
- ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَl-rāḥimīna(of) those who show mercy
