Surah 95 of 114 · Makki
سُورَةُ التِّينِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
1
وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ
وَٱلتِّينِwal-tīniBy the figوَٱلزَّيْتُونِwal-zaytūniand the olive
By the fig and the olive

95:1
2
3
وَهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ
وَهَـٰذَاwahādhāAnd thisٱلْبَلَدِl-baladi[the] cityٱلْأَمِينِl-amīni[the] secure
And [by] this secure city [Makkah]

95:3
4
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍۢ
لَقَدْlaqadIndeedخَلَقْنَاkhalaqnāWe createdٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insānamanفِىٓfīinأَحْسَنِaḥsani(the) bestتَقْوِيمٍۢtaqwīminmould
We have certainly created man in the best of stature

95:4
5
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَـٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَـٰفِلِينَ
ثُمَّthummaThenرَدَدْنَـٰهُradadnāhuWe returned himأَسْفَلَasfala(to the) lowestسَـٰفِلِينَsāfilīna(of the) low
Then We return him to the lowest of the low

95:5
6
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۢ
إِلَّاillāExceptٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieveوَعَمِلُوا۟waʿamilūand doٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥātirighteous deedsفَلَهُمْfalahumthen for themأَجْرٌajrun(is a) rewardغَيْرُghayruneverمَمْنُونٍۢmamnūninending
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted

7
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ
فَمَاfamāThen whatيُكَذِّبُكَyukadhibukacauses you to denyبَعْدُbaʿduafter (this)بِٱلدِّينِbil-dīnithe judgment
So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense

8
أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ
أَلَيْسَalaysaIs notٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahبِأَحْكَمِbi-aḥkami(the) Most Justٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَl-ḥākimīna(of) the Judges
Is not Allah the most just of judges
