Surah 103 of 114 · Makki
سُورَةُ العَصۡرِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

2
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ
إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insānamankindلَفِىlafī(is) surely, inخُسْرٍkhus'rinloss
Indeed, mankind is in loss

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ
إِلَّاillāExceptٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieveوَعَمِلُوا۟waʿamilūand doٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِl-ṣāliḥātirighteous deedsوَتَوَاصَوْا۟watawāṣawand enjoin (each other)بِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqito the truthوَتَوَاصَوْا۟watawāṣawand enjoin (each other)بِٱلصَّبْرِbil-ṣabrito [the] patience
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience
