Quran Verses About Guidance

Hidayah in the Quran — a path asked for in every prayer, a Book given as guidance, effort met with showing, and nearness stated in plain words.

Guidance is the Quran's own word for what it is for. The most repeated prayer in Islam asks for it in a single line; the Book introduces itself with it in the second surah; and elsewhere the Quran describes guidance as something that grows — increased for those who already follow it. These seven ayat hold the range: asking, receiving, striving, and the verse where Allah answers the question 'where is He' with 'near.' Arabic and translation are pulled at build time from Niyat's verified Quran text files and asserted byte-identical to them. Use the quran.com link on each card to read the verse in its context.
