Dua for an unfamiliar place

Hotel rooms, new cities, other people's houses — the sunnah has a dua for arriving somewhere unfamiliar and asking protection in it.

Duas for this moment

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ

Allahumma inni as'aluka khayra hadhihil qaryah

O Allah, I ask You for the good of this town.

Ibn as-Sunni 524 (weak chain)

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

A'udhu bi kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
