How this works
Suhoor ends at true dawn: "eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes clear from the black thread" (Qur'an 2:187). The Prophet ﷺ said there is blessing in suhoor (Sahih al-Bukhari 1923, Sahih Muslim 1095). The fast ends at sunset, so iftar is the Maghrib begins time (Qur'an 2:187, Sahih al-Bukhari 1957).
The table uses the same calculation as the prayer timetable maker: your browser finds the sun's position and applies your method. No data leaves your device.
Dates
Ramadan starts when the new moon is confirmed. Countries and communities differ between local sighting, calculation and following Makkah. See Ramadan 2027 for the start date by country. If your community starts a day later, change the start date above.
Extra minutes
Some mosques print an imsak time ten minutes before Fajr, and add a minute or two after sunset for iftar. This tool prints the calculated times. Add your own caution in the notes box, or edit the downloaded CSV.
Frequently asked questions
When does Ramadan 2027 start?
Ramadan 1448 is expected to start on 8 February 2027 and end around 9 March 2027, depending on the moon sighting. This tool starts on 8 February. Change the start date if your community begins on another day.
What does the suhoor end column show?
It shows the Fajr begins time for your method. Eating and drinking stop at true dawn (Qur'an 2:187). Many mosques add a few minutes of caution, so follow your mosque if it prints an earlier imsak time.
What does the iftar column show?
It shows the Maghrib begins time, which is sunset. The fast is completed until night (Qur'an 2:187). The Prophet ﷺ praised those who hasten to break the fast (Sahih al-Bukhari 1957).
Can I print a Ramadan timetable for my mosque?
Yes. Add your mosque name as the header, set jamaat offsets for Isha and the other prayers, and write the Taraweeh time in the notes box. Then print on A4 or Letter.
Why is there a 29 or 30 day choice?
Ramadan has 29 or 30 days, set by the moon. The choice lets you print the exact length once your community confirms it.
