Target: 1 juz a day

Read one juz a day.

30 juz, 30 days — about 20 pages and 30 minutes a day on average, though juz length varies from 20 to 23 pages.

The traditional unit, used for taraweeh and mosque khatm circles.

Why juz instead of pages

A juz is one of 30 roughly equal parts of the Qur’an — the unit behind a month of taraweeh, and behind the mosque khatm circle, where 30 readers each take one juz and the group finishes a complete reading together in a single day. Because 604 pages over 30 days and 30 juz over 30 days come out to nearly the same daily average, reading a juz a day and the 30-day page-based plan are the same pace described two ways — pick whichever unit you track more naturally.

Every juz, by Mushaf page

The exact page range for all 30 juz, so you can find today's portion by juz number alone.

A shared boundary page (for example, page 62 between Juz 3 and Juz 4) belongs to both — the split falls mid-page.

Questions, answered.

How long is a juz?

About 20 pages on average, but it varies — from 20 pages for most juz up to 23 pages for Juz 30, which holds many short surahs. The table above gives the exact range for each one.

Can 30 people finish a khatm together in a day?

Yes — this is the basis of a khatm circle, common at mosques: 30 people each take one juz, and the group completes a full reading of the Qur’an between them in a single day.

Is one juz a day the same as finishing in a month?

Almost exactly — 604 pages over 30 days averages 20.1 pages a day, the same as 30 juz over 30 days. See the 30-day plan for the identical pace in a page-first view.

Track your juz, not just your page.

Niyat's khatm tracker shows your progress by juz as well as page, and reminds you once a day so no juz gets skipped.
