Quran Verses About Patience

What the Quran says about sabr — endurance under trial, the reward of the patient, and the company of Allah with those who hold firm.

Sabr is one of the most repeated qualities in the Quran. The Book does not promise a life without trial; it promises that trial has meaning, that endurance is seen, and that the patient are in company better than they may feel. The verses below come from Makkan and Madinan surahs alike, spoken to individuals carrying loss, communities under pressure, and prophets tested to the edge of what a person can hold. Each card shows the Arabic exactly as it stands in Niyat's verified Quran text files, a translation from the same files, a short note on the setting of the verse, and a link to read it in context. Read them slowly. Patience in the Quran is not gritted teeth; it is a posture of trust that does not break.

Translation. O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.
