A dhikr supplication from the Sunnah, narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari.
La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer
There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him is praise, and He is over all things competent.
Source: Sahih al-Bukhari 6403. This narration appears in Sahih al-Bukhari — the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Sunni Islam.
Say this dhikr after every obligatory prayer, before you stand up. Two minutes of repetition is one of the most authentic practices the Prophet (peace be upon him) taught.
Sahih al-Bukhari is considered the most authentic collection of hadith after the Quran. Imam al-Bukhari (d. 256 AH) spent sixteen years selecting the roughly 7,000 narrations in this collection from over 600,000 he had examined, applying strict criteria to chain authenticity. Dhikr — remembrance of Allah — is the simplest and most flexible form of worship. It can be done anywhere, without wudu, without facing the qibla, without setting aside time. Its weight is in consistency.
